about
A Punk song about Gentrification... AI Attacks...Directed Energy Laser Weapons...The Paradise CA Wildfires.
It's a WAR out here in the San Francisco Bay Area. This Gentrification shit is out of control. The birth of this song started only a few days before the Paradise Wildfire erupted, one of the most deadly and destructive fires in US history.
Here in the East Bay we were fortunate not to experience the destruction and loss that hit Paradise, but I had to stay indoors and wear a mask outdoors during the whole recording of this song. I was already feeling anger and frustration over the economic gentrification but the smoke just added more fuel when creating this song.
I wrote the words "In A Fools Paradise" by complete coincidence, but later realized that the land grab conspiracies that surfaced do relate to my initial inspiration. While I was recording this song posts started surfacing about Energy Weapons many believe to have intentionally started the fires, with pictures of a proposed railway system in the exact location...
lyrics
Lyrics
My face is up against the wall and it's breaking
Premonitions of a fall picture painted
Fading away, fading away, erasing
Nowhere to lay, nowhere to lay displacing
It's not the crime it's the cover up that gives it away
When you buried the bones you left decay
Rotting way, rotting away the faces
Taking away, taking away the spaces
It's Daylight Robbery, price tag on the dirt
Blood red on the streets, Devil's tower in the Church
Murder of the pocket dream for castles in the sky
It's Daylight Robbery in a fool's Paradise...
Tech's pimpin' everybody like a digital bitch
Monkey mind will fuck you when asleep at the switch
Shallow the grave, shallow the grave for once was
Gone are the days, gone are the days, dust to dust
Hometown demolition for the high rise
Gonna sharpen a switch blade for the gun fight
Not gonna take, not gonna take the street sign
Not gonna break, not gonna brake the hard line
It's Daylight Robbery, price tag on the dirt
Blood red on the streets, Devil's tower in the Church
Murder of the pocket dream for castles in the sky
It's Daylight Robbery in a fool's Paradise...
